Today, I joined the community at the cenotaph in Middlesbrough for the Remembrance Day service—a moment of collective reflection and gratitude. It was a moving experience as we gathered to honour those who served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present.
Below are some of the photos I took during the service, capturing the solemn atmosphere, the wreaths, and the community coming together in remembrance.
The cenotaph stood tall, adorned with fresh wreaths of red poppies—a symbol of resilience and remembrance. Veterans, families, and members of the community stood together, united in a moment of silence. The day was filled with solemn marches, respectful faces, and the sight of flags and poppies symbolising our collective memory.
Being here today reminded me of the importance of these moments. It’s not just about remembering those who fought in wars gone by, but about carrying forward their legacy of courage and commitment.
Thank you to everyone who attended, for making this day one of unity and respect.
